Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™ Filter Elements are a new generation of gravity-fed filter elements specifically developed for New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. (NMCL), owner of the Berkey® brand, and endorsed for use in Berkey® Water Systems.
Designed to fit directly into existing Berkey® gravity-fed systems, Phoenix New Millennium Edition™ filters provide a high-performance filtration option backed by NSF certification and extensive independent third-party laboratory testing.
They are an excellent option for Berkey® owners looking to continue using their existing stainless-steel system while original Black Berkey® Elements remain in limited supply.

NSF Certified
Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™ Filter Elements are certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for the reduction of aesthetic impurities, including chlorine, chloramines and particulates that can affect the taste and odour of drinking water.
They are also certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN Standard 372 for compliance with lead-free requirements for components that come into contact with drinking water.

PFAS & “Forever Chemical” Reduction
Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™ Filter Elements have been independently tested for the reduction of PFAS compounds, including PFOA and PFOS.
Long-term PFAS testing has also been conducted over 1,500 litres.
Please refer to the independent laboratory reports above for individual contaminants, reduction percentages, testing conditions and capacities.

Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™ Filter Elements have a recommended replacement capacity of approximately:

A set of two provides approximately:
20,800 litres per pair
Filters may require replacement sooner depending on the quality of the incoming water, local water conditions and usage.
The filter elements are also recleanable during their service life, helping restore the flow rate when sediment or mineral deposits accumulate on the exterior.
Fast Gravity-Fed Filtration
A pair of Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™ Filter Elements can provide a flow rate of up to approximately 15.9 litres per hour when the upper chamber is full.
The flow rate will naturally decrease as the water level in the upper chamber falls.
Because the system operates entirely by gravity, there is:
No electricity. No pumps. No plumbing required.
Simply fill the upper chamber and allow gravity to draw the water through the filter elements into the lower chamber.
Retains Beneficial Minerals
Phoenix New Millennium Edition™ filters are designed to reduce unwanted contaminants while retaining beneficial naturally occurring minerals such as calcium and magnesium.
They are therefore not designed to significantly reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS).
Advanced Activated Carbon Filtration
Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™ Filter Elements utilise advanced activated-carbon-based filtration media.
The activated carbon contains a network of microscopic pores, creating a large internal surface area. As water passes through the porous filtration matrix, contaminants can be captured or adsorbed by the filter media before the filtered water enters the lower chamber.
This gravity-fed design provides effective filtration without requiring electricity, water pressure or a mains plumbing connection.

Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™ Filter Elements can be used together with Berkey PF-2® Fluoride & Arsenic Reduction Elements in compatible Berkey® systems where additional fluoride reduction is desired.
The PF-2® elements attach beneath the main Phoenix filter elements in the lower chamber.
Phoenix New Millennium Edition™ vs Standard Phoenix Filters
The Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™ should not be confused with other standard Phoenix gravity carbon filters.
The New Millennium Edition™ is the version specifically developed for NMCL and endorsed for use as an alternative filter element in Berkey® Water Systems.
When purchasing Phoenix filters for your Berkey®, always check that you are purchasing the Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™.

Important
Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™ Filter Elements are not marketed for microbiological purification of untreated water. Water known or suspected to be microbiologically unsafe should be appropriately disinfected before filtration.
Individual contaminant reduction percentages and capacities vary. Please refer to the relevant laboratory reports for the specific test conditions and performance results.

All products are shipped the same day if ordered before 3pm. For UK orders we use DPD who will deliver the following Working Day from dispatch.
We will provide a tracking number on the day of dispatch for you to track your consignment on the DPD website.
How fast will my water filter purify tap water?
The system will purify up to 13.3 litres per hour with 2 x Black Berkey filters inside (or 26.6 Litres per hour with 4 x Black Berkey filters inside).
In real terms, this equates to approximately 1 glass of water per minute.
